NFL Hall of Fame a bit classier

The NFL Hall of Fame became a bit classier this weekend adding a couple of all-pro Redskins, Darrell Green and Art Monk.

As a Redskins fan, there is no doubt my favorite player for Washington was #28 Darrell Green. Green spent his entire twenty-year career with the Washington Redskins. The Ageless Wonder, Darrell played at a high level well into his forties. He amazed everyone with his world class speed, endurance and perseverance.

Green retired with a club-record 54 interceptions, scored six touchdowns, played in four NFC championship games, three Super Bowls (including two wins), was voted to seven Pro Bowls and was selected to the All-Pro team four times. Green also was selected to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s.

A model of integrity, class and consistency, Green is beloved by all who bleed burgundy and gold.

Congratulations to Darrell, Art, and all the Redskin nation.

Thanks for the memories Darrell
