Halloweens’ past
2009—And just like that Halloween is gone…
Despite some crappy windy wet weather leading up to the party Saturday cleared off for another wonderful Halloween evening. Special thanks to Tom Davis, Andy Nick and everyone else who always helps to make these parties so special. Enjoy the photos—if anyone has any to add please send them to me via: circa71@gmail.com I’d love to add them to the slideshow below.

2008—A wonderful Indian Summer night to celebrate Halloween08, a kicking fire and 80 or so of my best friends in their over-the-top costumes. Thanks to all who were on hand and those who were here in spirit only! It’s never more obvious how lucky I am to have such a wonderful group of people to call my friends. Enjoy the photos—if anyone has any to add please send them to me via circa71@gmail.com I’d love to add them to the slideshow below. Until next year…

2007—Ten wonderful years of Halloween parties on Gondert. These parties started when my friends and I moved into the house on Gondert in 97. We moved in the second week of October so a Halloween party seemed the only logical next step. Over time and years so many wonderful and crazy people have been apart of them. From those who I only see on Halloween to those who come as guests and are back every year. The pictures do more justice than anything I can write.

2006—A 9 foot broken sword, 200 beer cans, firepit ashes and 1 dead oompa loompa. Looks like most everyone survived another Halloween on Gondert. Thanks for showing up and get those costumes started for next year…

2000 and before—
Thanks:
A very special thanks out to all of my wonderful friends who have volunteered their time and design talents for invites, posters and other odds and ends over the years. And especially, Andy Nick who was responsible for the excellent web galleries he put together and hosted on his site until Circa71 came into existence. Also many thanks to everyone who shows up for these parties—without the remarkable friends I have, these Halloween parties wouldn’t be what they have become.

Like a zombie in the night—Halloween has risen again to awake your terror and shake your bones. So conjure your imagination, resurrect your creativity wear your best Saturday-go-to-black-mass suit and join us as we celebrate the 12th annual Halloween on Gondert. Hope to see you all there.
Between the gothic stones above the graves and curdling groans. Gargoyles peer from old stone walls, the clock strikes twelve. Midnight falls. Spirits and creatures rise from hell brought back this night by an old church bell. Hideous faces, rattling chains, this is a place where Halloween reigns. Flapping wings of flying bats and the prying eyes of old black cats. The witching hour has come to call reviving the dead, one and all. The November wind sheiks loud and clear while shapes in flowing shrouds appear. So those of you who would bravely dare to meet All Hollow’s evil stare. Know the warning and heed the power be at Gondert by the witching hour.
